The band, which has been together since 2015, is characterised by their energetic performances.

Cold World will be released via Epitaph Records, and was produced in collaboration with NYC-based producer Brett Romnes, known for his work with Hot Mulligan and Mom Jeans.

The band said: “This was our first time using a producer and we were scared that our sound was not going to be us, but Brett was such an amazing addition to the writing process.

“The goal was to find a common ground and build from that and we did almost instantly on day one, it was beautiful.”

The band has grown over time to become an exemplification of their values of hard work, social justice, and devotion to their community.

Their album, Cold World, represents these values and conveys the band’s desire to inspire hope in the world.

The band said: "Cold World just seemed to fit in the days we’re living

“It’s the desire to thrive in a deteriorating world all while pushing those who feel like there is no hope and hoping to give them a second wind, a sense of hope.”

The members of Death Lens include Bryan Torres as the vocalist, Matt Silva and Jhon Reyes on guitar, Eduardo Contreras on bass, and Tony Rangel as the drummer.

Mr Reyes also contributes backing vocals.

The band, from 20 miles east of Los Angeles, has faced police harassment and gang violence.

Despite these challenges, Mr Torres, and his band mates have chosen positivity.

Mr Torres said: "We all believe in a fair system for all to live without struggle.

“We side strongly with socialist ideals proudly. We’re also very pro-Latino and pushing heavier to see more Hispanic bands up on stage, pro LGBTQ, pro-immigration, and everything in between."
